I guess I expected a little more interest in the league. Last year we were all fired up and getting ready to draft. This year 5 guys out of 20 even check in. 4 people haven't even responded to my emails. I guess I know where they stand.

Lol. 3 of those 5 that are active have posted to this thread. Do you know of any good owners to fill the vacant teams?

I was thinking my brother but he is already in a few keeper leagues and probably wouldn't be up for adopting a team. I could ask though.

Is there a list of those who have replied they are coming back or, hopefully, the shorter list of those who are not? Don't get too upset Kirk, no matter the intensity of the league there is always turnover. 5 of 20 is a 25% turnover rate, a bit high for a 2nd season, but not that bad. I am in a league that just finished it 10th season with 16 teams...only 10 are the original drafters. It will take a few years to find a solid 18 of 20 and there will always be 1 or 2 faces change each season. You want to work for a core group and build from there. Remember, this league was put together from a random group.

I found the list of those unresponsive and not returning. I tend to think the closer we get to the season you may hear from at least Steve and David. After review of the final rosters, it wouldn't be the worst thing to contract to 18 teams. Boston Americans, Soaring, Wrigley's and Dead Presidents have good enough teams you can find new managers for, however, Yankee Haters really has Matt Kemp. The rest of his team could go into the normal draft without changing much of the dynamics. So if you contracted another team you could then hold some special draft for the "star" players and add the rest to the nromal draft. Geyying 3 managers is easier then getting 5. I am good either way..just my thoughts.

Also, when Yahoo gets up and running you can send the invites out and maybe that will spake the flame of competition. I find it difficult to understand that the two confirmed "OUTS" had such good teams, especially if you read posts Boston said I will definatley be back.

Boston Americans is out. Bob emailed me and said that he likes the league but he has too much going on in his personal life and can't return
