Is there still interest in this? I have dropped some leagues so I think I can manage this a little better this year. I am proposing a 3-5 man minor league team. Once a player has reached a certain amount of innings/at bats they will no longer be able to be carried as a minor.

I like the farm system as long as the rules are clear and gives no advantage to player hoarders. I think the player needs to have less than say 20 inings of MLB at the time he is drafted on to the farm team. Then he needs to be promoted or dropped once he reaches say 150 Abs or 25 IP in the bigs. Also, once on the farm team he is there until droppped, traded or activated. Players can be added to the farm team only during the farm team draft, once the season starts players can not be added no matter the empty spots.

I like the idea of a minor league team. I agree with Zoolander with only allowing players to be added during the draft and then having to promote or drop players once they reach a predetermined amount of big league time.

The current standard of 130 at bats, 50 innings pitched is the MLB rule for a rookie. Maybe this could be our standard for our minors instead of 150/25. I do like the rule of "Players can be added to the farm team only during the farm team draft, once the season starts players can not be added no matter the empty spots."

sounds like we have a plan. I would also include "If a player is TRADED from a farm team the player must be activated to the active roster of the aquiring team as they can not be added to a new farm team."

I like a 5 player minors roster. I would waive the adding by draft only for the first year for those players we held on to all season that were in the minors and not in the yahoo system unless they are added this season.
It's only a handful of players.
Also I oppose the active roster mandate for traded players. Obviously there would need to be subsequent transactions to get under both roster limits.

I don't have a huge interest in this, but I'm willing to do it. Just wanna know all of the specifics when it is decided.
